“The White Paper on Local Government Reform has started the ball rolling for a November 2022 municipal election, and we’re excited to announce that See Jane Run will be there for female candidates no matter where they live in the Province,” says co-founder Katie Bowden.

Election day is upon us, and See Jane Run is wondering if we will see a female sweep in the Mayoral contests between Grand Bay-Westfield and St. Martins.

The publication of election candidates’ home addresses is an impediment to political participation for some women and should be abolished.

A team of women with experience running election campaigns and holding municipal office have set up See Jane Run, a grassroots organization designed to support women who live in the Saint John region, who have aspirations to run for municipal office.
